THE SITE AND SURROUNDINGS

Land to the north of Chalk Road is 1.55ha (3.85 Acres) in size and is located on the northern edge of Lower Higham adjacent to existing residential dwellings. The Site lies to the south west of the railway line linking Strood and Gravesend as well as the Thames and Medway Canal.

The Site is occupied by several buildings and other structures associated with the existing paddocks and light industrial uses present on site. The existing buildings are of a significant scale, with a total volume of around 3,800m³, and heights ranging from around 4m to 8m. There are also large areas of hardstanding around the buildings.

There are several existing field boundaries within the Site, mostly comprising of hedgerows and trees.
